I have a background as a chartered accountant working in various industries and acquired my first care home in 2005 which was Elvaston Lodge. During the last 15 years, and as I have expanded the group, our staff, high quality care provision and residents have always been my upmost priority.

I believe that our residents deserve person centred care in safe and comfortable surroundings, and I have a passion for promoting individuality both within our care home settings but also for each resident depending on their needs. I also believe it is important to ensure that I still continue to take the time to meet with staff and talk to residents and their loved ones on a regular basis.

I am proud to have a dedicated regional management team who are experienced in day-to-day operations of our care homes and bring in-depth knowledge of both local needs and sector challenges. With their support I aim to continue to build on the success of the Zion Care group.

I am a Registered General Nurse with experience in mental health nursing particularly Dementia. I have always had a passion for working with the elderly and I started my career in the residential care home sector as a care assistant whilst studying at college. I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2008 after obtaining my Bsc (Hons) degree in Nursing and I joined Zion Care the same year as a newly qualified nurse within one of the homes.
I have enjoyed my years working within the company, manging a home and then joining the regional team ensuring best practice and high standards of care are rolled out across the group. A particular favourite inspirational quote: “Nursing requires compassion, critical thinking and communication. These qualities strengthen the trust people place in nurses, and make all proud to say, ‘A Nurse I am.’”

I am a Registered General Health Nurse with a degree in mental health and dementia. I started my career after leaving school as a care assistant before completing my nurse training. I have worked for Zion Care since 2006 holding various home manager positions before transferring to the regional team. I have a passion for elderly care and specifically dementia care and end of life care.

There have been many highpoints in my professional career, but two of my proudest moments include, achieving Beacon status with the Gold Standards Framework for end of life care and contributing to the published NHS East and Central Lancashire best interest at end of life practical guidance. I enjoy a challenge and pride myself in promoting creative thinking in order to provide individualised care.

I am the HR and Projects Manager for Zion Care Group and lead the HR team. I’ve worked for Zion Care Group since 2014, having worked in a variety of industries prior to this.

I find it very rewarding to work in the health care sector and have found that as company, each individual has the ability to positively impact the lives of so many of our residents through their day-to-day work; no matter what role they are in. I feel privileged to be part of this and in my role I strive to make a positive difference to our managers and staff, ensuring that they feel recognised, valued and supported in delivering the high quality care that our residents receive every day.

I am an HR Advisor and have worked for Zion Care since 2016. I started my career in the NHS as a registered midwife and worked in various hospitals in the UK and Australia. I have worked in healthcare settings for most of my career and after holding a number of management positions; my career progressed into HR.

I thoroughly enjoy working for Zion Care as our resident’s quality of life really does play an integral part in all that we do and I feel privileged to be able to assist in supporting managers and staff to achieve this.
